Details:

FEMA's Engineering Library is responsible for the archival and maintenance of all technical and administrative support data and related publications associated with the National Flood Insurance Program. Engineering models associated with a Flood Insurance Study can be found at https://hazards.fema.gov/wps/portal/frisel or requested via an email to libraryrequest@riskmapcds.com, but a number of communities and states allow for direct download of models on the internet.

The purpose of this Cooperating Technical Partners Information Exchange webinar was to highlight States and regional entities that have developed websites that provide access to engineering models and to gather information from other Cooperating Technical Partners on other States, regional entities or communities that have their hydrology and hydraulic models available online. In this training session, the State of Maryland and the San Antonio River Authority provided information on their applications and some of the benefits derived. In addition, FEMA’s plans for improving access to engineering models were highlighted.

  • Dave Guignet - State of Maryland
  • John Refolo, GISP, CFM, CAPM - San Antonio River Authority
