Details:
Hydrology is an important component of flood studies with a significant amount of uncertainty. Some States have established a process for coordinating with federal agencies to help ensure that flood flows approved for flood studies are valid and appropriate. As an example, Indiana has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with several federal agencies that dates back to the 1970s. Minnesota has a Hydrology Review Committee that has been operating for the same time frame.
