Over the past 18 months, FEMA has been engaged in a wide-ranging effort to overhaul the NFIP. FEMA is moving to remove barriers to improve the overall customer experience delivery of the program. A critical customer is the local floodplain manager and the community’s floodplain management program. The FSC is utilizing the 2016 Local Program Survey Data to provide information on trends, capabilities, needs and obstacles of local floodplain management programs. This information can assist in facilitating improvements in FEMA’s Customer Experience Initiative.
