Funding: Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The primary objective of this project is to better understand what format and delivery would be most useful from the perspective of the community officials who use the products to enforce floodplain management and communicate risk, as well as the policyholders and property owners who need to understand risk and consider mitigation options. To support this effort, ASFPM will conduct a study that researches and summarizes these perspectives. Of note, this activity is not intended to analyze the technical components of the mapping process. Rather, it will focus on how the technical data is packaged and communicated to communities.
