ASFPM was invited to partner with the American Planning Association in a project funded by FEMA to update APA’s 1997 publication, Subdivision Design in Flood Hazard Areas (PAS Report No. 473, 1997). The new PAS Report was broadened from the strict subdivision approach used in the 1997 edition to include other land-use regulatory considerations affecting design in flood hazard areas, and also other innovations in coastal and floodplain zoning and regulation.
