Summary: In 1996 the Board of County Commissioners adopted a creek use policy to makes streams and lakes “suitable for prolonged human contact”. This statement was intentionally broad. The Storm Water Services office developed a plan that included creating buffers. The plan was developed with input from stakeholders including developers and Storm Water Services staff.
