Link: Operation Water Festival
Description: Each year around 1,200 Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) 5th grade students attend a Water Festival held in Boulder. Operation Water Festival is a fun, hands-on way for students to discover how drinking water is treated, learn how to protect and conserve our water, experience the history, geology, geography and science of water, and encounter the diverse plants and animals that rely on water for survival. Festival activities include a student and teacher unit on flooding titled "Flood Forces". The Keep It Clean Partnership has additional Flood Risk and Planning Response materials under its Water Curriculum (http://www.keepitcleanpartnership.org/pollution-prevention/teachers/for-teachers/)
