The Flood Science Center in partnership with the NAI Policy Committee has developed a new NAI Legal Guide. The No Adverse Impact Legal Guide for Flood Risk Management supplements and helps update the legal resources that support NAI and flood risk management overall. It is publicly available through ASFPM’s digital library and provides detailed case law for legal professionals, and legal essentials for floodplain administrators, elected officials, and planners. The Legal Guide covers, but is not limited to, topics such as takings, liability, higher regulatory standards, and property rights. The legal resources developed support NAI workshop training and awareness through an ASFPM-wide webinar.
